A training workshop
for those who help the sexually abused

Anyone who spends time helping men and women wrestle with past abuse finds that the process generates more questions than answers. This workshop is devoted to asking tough questions:

• What is the relationship between a client's current style of relating and past abuse?
• What are the trust issues that will interfere with the counseling process?
• How can a Biblical model of change be encouraged so that the realities of shame and contempt might deepen one's faith in God?

This workshop is a forum where the ideas and questions concerning the perplexity of childhood trauma can be addressed. Observation of live and/or video tapes of Dr. Allender's counseling and his moderation of discussions following each session will encourage deep personal and professional change.
